Shave and a Haircut, Two Bits!

Yesterday finished off pretty well. I continued to eat well (finished the nice potatoes that Becky had made as well as several glasses of juice, milk, and water). I went to bed last night around 20:00 after watching Mission Impossible on T.V. (good flick!). I layed in bed, not at all uncomfortable until around 00:45 when I got up and downed another dose of the pain meds to knock me out (I'm going to finish the pain meds [prescription] before taking anymore of the plain night-time cold stuff). I'm getting afraid the only way I can sleep is if I take that stuff. Not a good sign...

Here are the requisite daily pictures.

I shaved!!!! It feels great! I think my smile shows that. I took these in the computer room (better lighting and wall coloring I think). You can see that I'm still a bit swollen from the front view, but can notice it more in the side (look below my nose). I've got complete feeling in my face except for the goatee (sp?) area (edge of the lips inward, from the bottom of my nose down to my chin), which is still very much numb. You can see in the side view that the external incision is healing well and probably won't show at all after a while.

Becky snapped this picture of me eating some of that wonderful potatoe stuff she made.

I was feeling pretty good until I got the mail and found an itemized bill from the hospital. They're basically saying we owe them double what we already paid them (which was already more than what they quoted us in the first place)! I'm going to have to call them on Monday and start fighting through all of this. I'm planning on going to work for half of the day tomorrow and then coming back home to get my rest (and beauty sleep!). I'll keep you all informed.
