Really, the only thing to show for today is me working on these web pages. That's how I do it-- just sit there and work. When I need to, I dial-up and upload. Nothing too fancy!
I took my first bath today, but you don't get to see that. So far there have been a lot of pictures, and not much narration, well, I'll try to change that.
First of all, yes, I do feel as bad as I look. The swelling is a real pain (almost literally). No, the stitches you can see on the outside don't hurt. Yes, every-once-in-a-while I can feel the throbing along the bones where they sawed me apart. Yes, my mouth is yucky tasting and no, it's not all that fun / easy to eat. I do have some liquid pain medication (a whole 8 oz. bottle is almost gone), and it does help, but it basically just knocks me out. I woke up in the wee hours the morning of the 9th and was having a very hard time breathing as I was trying to clear up some mucous. There's not too much you can do but gag through it. Sorry for being so graphic.
