Here are some images taken durning check-in at Our Lady of the Lake hostpital. Becky had to get into the act as well!
Starting to get ready!
Now I've got my I.V. in and things are set. I left my room and went to pre-op bay #4 (just like in StarWars when Luke and Obi-Wan met Han and Chewie in docking bay #94... -- FATE!)

I left the pre-op bay and was wheeled down several hallways to the surgical room. I joked with the anesthesiologist and op-nurses until they decided to put me under. The last time I remember seeing was 13:18 and I think things started shortly thereafter. This is me in post-op, the first time Becky got to see me after surgery. I think it's around 18:30. I stayed in post-op until around 20:30. You can see that my head is in a compress. There are some blue tubes running under the white compress. Becky said they were running chilled (50 degrees) water through it to keep the swelling down. A lot of good that did me.

Here I am back in my room, 437, after post-op. Luckily I'm not feeling any pain. Becky said she talked to me in post-op and when I was back in the room, but I don't remember it.
Not all of the pictures are of me looking dead. I did eventually wake up and Dr. Philippe came to take that water pump system off of me. This is what I looked like:
